Puppy Mills:
Don’t buy from puppy mills or pet stores. Pet stores purchase their puppies directly from puppy mills. No ethical breeder would sell their puppies to a pet store. Dogs in puppy mills are frequently mistreated, live in unsanitary conditions, do not receive proper veterinary care and are bred strictly for profit. When the dogs are no longer useful, they are either killed or sold at auction.
